This is a good product and is available at just Rs 440 in local market. I bought it from Amazon at Rs 499. This is average product and nothing extraordinary as shown in its specifications.
Got the mouse under 400 and I think it's a steal deal. The DPI control button gives 4 DPI options. The forward and backward buttons to the side works flawlessly. You can go forward or backward in a tab. The left and right click buttons are silent provides a smooth clicking experience. The other buttons are not silent though. Scroll wheel is also silent and works fine. The mouse is fully plastic, the buttons are coloured to give a metallic look. It's full sized mouse so comfortable to use. It connects via the USB dongle. It requires one AA battery which is included in the box. It has on/off button, along with that it automatically goes into sleep mode after few minutes of inactivity which is great for power saving. To wake it up, clicking any button on the mouse is enough. Regarding warranty, on box it's written 3 years however in the warranty paper it's written 1 year. I confirmed with hp that it's 3 years as 1 year standard warranty and 2 years extended so 3 years in total. I haven't used it for gaming but I think it will be fine for gaming as well due to availability of multiple buttons. Overall a very good mouse from HP at a good price point.
Nice handling and usage, but slightly disapper sometime
Left and right clicks are super silent. Scroll wheel and 5th-6th buttons looks metalic but are made of plastic. The mouse is of great quality and I confirmed with HP customer support it has 3 years of warranty. If you let it ideal for around 1-2 mins it turned off itself and with 1 click it comes back to life. It's is comfortable, easy to use and value for money. I got this for 350 only.I can't say about battery life (used it only for a week)
I purchased the product Hp M290 wireless mouse, and I received the product on time but defective and it seemed already used once. When I checked there was no return, only available option was service centre replacement and I submitted the product at Hp service centre and received after 10 days. But was a different model which does not satisfy my requirement. When I spoke to the person incharge they don't have the product at their centre the same is only available in Amazon. How will I receive a product I ordered without defect and who will take the responsibility to replace the product. Service centre or Amazon.

Review after 3.5 months (1 Duracell battery used) with a daily average of 6+ hours of usage. I would say it's the best mouse under 500; I bought it for 400. The left and right buttons are silent, but the other three aren't. The extra two buttons are really useful for fast back and forward navigation. There are four DPI settings—800, 1200, 1600, and 3200—and I mostly used 1200. You can definitely buy it, but I would say the scroll wheel and extra buttons are not as well-built as the body itself. However, for 400–500, it is the best mouse you can buy. For these specs, I don’t understand how this mouse costs only 500, because it offers more features than many 1000+ mice.
I strongly recommend not buying this product. It is not working properly, and unfortunately, there is no option to return it. I even tried getting a replacement, but the replaced product has the same defect. The forward functioning is not working at all, making the product completely useless. This has been a very disappointing experience. Waste of money and time. Please think twice before purchasing.

Just okay till now but its funny how the mouse is packed inside a paper bag, seal is broken and not able to return.

Very bad. Just within two days its not working. Not able to figure out the issue. Customer care not supported properly. No one is responding. Very disappointed.

Good mouse, buttons are good and DPI’s are also good, side buttons are useless, quality feels good in hand unlike other mice out there

this is after 7 days of usage for the first 3-4 days all were good . I am using normally without mouse pad . from day 4 onward the motion became sluggish and slow . its like the pointer has its own mind , a mind of its own. the mouse will be fast and suddenly go slow. Because of the sudden slow motion I have to keep moving the mouse to the top . I will ask for replacement. this is rediclous if i don't work for some time the mouse will be disable and i have to click to enable - this is the only good feature
