Utterly disappointed with this purchase. Going by the name JBL I had high expectation. It turned out to be a dud. Let me explain... I tested this headphone with 3 separate gaming PC setups that I have, as well as with my laptop. PC1 (i5 12400f, Gigabyte B660m, onboard Audio) -- performance was somewhat ok. This is the only motherboard where I was able to turn on a surround sound effect and a 4.1 configuration. PC2 (i3 12100f, Gigabyte H610m, onboard audio) -- performance underwhelming, sound is too low, I had to go all the way up to 90% in the headphone and ~70% in Windows to get somewhat decent sound PC3 (Ryzen 5 3600, Gigabyte B550m, onboard Audio) -- same as PC2, however here I got a Smart Amp option in Windows Realtek audio setting, which somewhat made the sound usable. For a comparison, I use a TP-Link BT adapter and a Mivi Fort S40 with all these PCs and I get mind blowing sound even when the sound level in Windows is just touching 50%. The same result I got with my old headphone, a RedGear Cosmo 7.1. After trying a lot, fiddling with settings, I gave up. I restored my RedGear Cosmo 7.1 headphone with a new earcup cushion cover and it is now working like new. And off course the sound is much much better than JBL Quantum 100M2. Hence I feel I wasted INR 2500 on this JBL headphone. I could have gone with other gaming headphones, such as Hyper-X, or just stayed with the ReadGear Cosmo. Anyway, what is done is done. I hope you find this review helpful.
